Beyond the Sun is the steward of records from the Adoption Support Center.
When an adoption agency closes, its records need a protected home. Beyond the Sun Therapy holds that role for the Adoption Support Center: we safeguard the files, and we open them with the care they call for. If your adoption was completed through the Adoption Support Center, your file is here, kept securely, and it can be opened to you.
What a file may hold
Every file is different. A file may hold placement records, correspondence, background and medical history shared at the time, and identifying or non-identifying information as permitted by the records themselves and Indiana law. Some files are thick, some are thin; what is in yours is yours to learn.
How it works
- Reach out. Contact us and let us know your connection to the Adoption Support Center.
- Verification. We confirm identity and eligibility to access the file, as the records and law require.
- File opening. The $125 file-opening fee covers locating, reviewing, and preparing your record.
- Receiving your file. We walk through what was found — what it holds, and what it may mean. Supported file-discovery sessions are available if you want company in it.
Why $125? Opening a file is careful work: locating the record, reviewing every page, preparing it legally and securely, and readying it to be received. The fee covers that work — the story inside is already yours.
You do not have to open it alone
